Thomas B. Gabbert has been named to Intuit Inc.’s (Nasdaq: INTU) Accountant Council. Intuit’s mission is to power prosperity around the world, and it accomplishes this through its innovative ecosystem of financial management solutions that serve more than 46 million accounting professionals, small businesses and consumers worldwide. This year, for the first time, Accountant Council members in the U.S. and Canada will meet at Intuit’s headquarters in Mountain View, CA to discuss the needs of accountants, small businesses, the self-employed and developers across North America.
A managing director at mAccounting, Gabbert is one of 26 council members – 18 from the U.S. and eight from Canada – who will share their insights, experience and expertise to help Intuit develop new products and services for accounting professionals and small businesses worldwide. He has more than 30 years’ experience as an accounting professional and business owner.
“We are pleased to add Tom to our Council,” said Rich Preece, leader of the Accountant Segment, Small Business and Self Employed Group at Intuit. “As an accounting professional who embraces new technology and forward-thinking practices, Tom is a critical member of our advisory council. He will be instrumental in helping us develop, enhance and deliver cloud-based products and services that meet the needs of accountants across the globe, ultimately allowing them to better serve their small business and self-employed clients.”
Gabbert said he is excited by the selection, “I’m thankful to Intuit for providing a platform in which the collective voice of our accounting team and client base will be considered in shaping the user experience. As heavy proponents and users of Intuit products and other cloud-based accounting applications, we are eager to contribute to Intuit’s culture of collaboration and innovation. The council is a testament to Intuit’s investment in its user experience, and we are excited to share our unique insights.”
